By:mudpuppy196306Nope its written by a scots man Joeseph Mackenzie after the death of his wife. He wrote it to honor her and his Great-grandfather who was in the Seaforth Highlanders regt. who did die in WWI. It originally appeared in Clan an Drumma's albem tried and true.
