By:red456x it flashes colours at the beginning because it's the cracked and compressed version from an Automation disk. the original doesn't do that
By:Ahle2 The sample rate is so low (8 Khz) that i can not bare to listen to it.... Thank god for the Amiga version.
By:AzumiRM The ST had better compression for sampled sounds than the amiga version. The title screen music on the ST is 100% sampled where as the amiga version was done purely by it's own audio chipset (like wav vs midi) you can hear the STs own chipset take over toward the end.
By:C4mbo atari users rule....amiga users - lick my balls..
By:neglesaks Yep, it was when the decrunching routines ran you got the weird coloured output.
By:oodatoodat Probably decompressing data. And you get a nice effect by feeding some of the data into a graphics routine. Happened a lot on the C64 and Amiga too.
By:GrazzaD any idea why the Atari did that weird flashing screen at the start of a lot of the games? Always wondered why it did that...
Also- I like the Atari version better mainly because it doesnt have that bad intro that the Amiga one does
By:bssh22 I think I spent more time with listening to the theme song than actually playing the game ^^
